Summary

I am IT Leader with significant international experience in the domains of Enterprise Mobility & Data Center Infrastructure having worked in and led IT technical teams in the UK, Australia, USA & Switzerland. My professional objective is to lead an IT organization which will act as an enabler for business transformation through delivery of innovative, secure, compliant and easy to use solutions utilizing an ITIL framework, cloud technologies & agile methodologies to underpin the approach for delivering IT Services. Teamwork and collaboration are key drivers for me to ensure successful delivery of products & services, and I have experience of establishing, leading, developing and integrating cross-functional, globally distributed culturally diverse virtual teams. Ideally, I envisage a role where I have the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally whilst still maintaining the flexibility to work from my home office.

Enterprise Mobility Lead

August 2016 - June 2019

Based in Vevey, Switzerland I led the Enterprise Mobility Team. I was a member of the End User Solutions (EUS) leadership team which defined the strategy, key priorities, drivers, objectives and measures for the global EUS team totaling approx. 400+ persons worldwide accountable for delivering End User Solutions and Services to support a global workforce of 300’000+ employees. I was globally responsible for:
B2E mobile applications development & publication, Employee mobile devices strategy & recommendations, Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
Key achievements include:
- Successfully conducted contract negotiations to introduce a new Mobile Device Management platform to replace the existing end of life solution including negotiating a 22% reduction in 3-year contract value from initial price
- Established and maintained vendor governance relationship with main Mobile Device Management platform providers including hosting of monthly governance reviews B2E mobile applications development & publication, Employee mobile devices strategy & recommendations, Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms

Design & Construct CoC Lead N. America

September 2011 - July 2016

Based in St.Louis, MO, USA I led the newly established N. America End User Solutions (EUS) Design & Build Center of Competence. I transformed 6 individual Solution Architects into an integrated, high-performing team, well respected by their peers, delivering global infrastructure solutions. I was a member of the EUS leadership team with global design & build responsibility for:
Mobile Device Management (MDM), Windows server backup & recovery, Windows virtualization, Systems Orchestration, Office 365 Exchange online
Key achievements include:
- Enabled the development of an Orchestration solution to fully automate the patching of global Lync infrastructure (200+ Windows servers) from a central console with minimal admin input required
- Ensured Solution Delivery Methodology authored and established within global EUS organization to drive a more streamlined approach to solution development & delivery

Systems & Platforms Lead

August 2006 - August 2011

I led the Systems & Platforms Design and Build team with global responsibility for:
IBM servers & Operating System (AIX), HACMP, Virtual IO Server (VIOS), Storage Area Network (SAN), IBM Storage, Backup & Recovery (TSM), Batch Job Scheduling (TWS) and non-SAP databases (DB2, SQLServer, Oracle)
Key achievements include:
- Maximized critical ERP systems availability by optimizing Operating System, DB2 & patch deployments through increased use of automation & clustering technologies thereby reducing downtime requirements
- AIX hardware generation standardization & evolution from Power2 to Power7 servers enabling significant increases in performance and resource utilization within a considerably reduced data center footprint
- Ensured design of new SAN infrastructure for Global data centers based on Brocade DCX-4S Directors to replace existing McData Intrepid i10k infrastructure
